The purpose of this article is to explain the options under the DCA Wrangler Properties menu.





Properties Menu

The Properties menu is used to initially configure the DCA Wrangler for use.

Title and Description
Title and Description of the DCA Wrangler visualization.
Well Data TableThis dropdown is populated with the data tables in the current project. Select the project's well header data table. This table and the Production Data Table must be related by the API (or other unique key) in Spotfire (Edit > Data Table Properties > Relations).
FilteringSelect the desired filtering scheme. The DCA Wrangler will be filtered by this selected scheme.
MarkingSpecifies the marking scheme that will be used to mark items in the DCA Wrangler.
Limit by Marking
Lists the available markings that can be used to limit what is shown in this visualization. This means that the visualization only displays data that has been marked in other visualizations.
Well Table Name, Well ID, Group, WeightThese are populated with columns of appropriate type from the user's Well Data Table selection.
NameName of the well.
Well ID*Unique key for the well (API, UWI, Propnum). Must be a string or text data type.
Type Curve GroupGrouping column for Type Curves.
Type Curve WeightWeight column used if production needs to be normalized.
IMPORTANT NOTE: * denotes that a field is required.
Production Data TableThis dropdown is populated with the data tables in the current project. Select the project's production data table. This table and the Well Data Table must be related by the API (or other unique key) in Spotfire (Edit > Data Table Properties > Relations).
Production Table, Well ID, Prod Month, Oil Rate, Gas Rate, Water RateThese are populated with columns of appropriate type from the user's Production Data Table selection.
Rate Units*Units for the Oil, Gas, and Water rates below. If the rates are monthly, the DCA Wrangler will convert them to daily. 
Fluid Aggregation*Aggregation method for multiple well APIs and production months. This value defaults to sum.
Well ID*Unique key for the well (API, UWI, Propnum). Must be a string or text data type.
Prod Month*Date of production in MM/DD/YYYY format. The Production Data Table should only have one row of production for each month. In order to decline a well, the well must have at least 3 months of production.
Oil Rate**Average daily/monthly Oil Rate over the month in BBLs.
Gas Rate**Average daily/monthly Gas Rate over the month in MCF.
Water Rate**Average daily/monthly Water Rate over the month in BBLs.
If there is insufficient production for a well to generate a decline, the following warning is produced.
